The Carl Hansen & Son CH26 Chair by Hans J. Wegner was put into production in close collaboration with the Hans J. Wegner Design Studio, based on Wegner’s original working drawings. Designed as a dining chair version of the CH22 lounge chair, the CH26 remained unknown for decades before being brought to life by Carl Hansen & Son in 2016.
The chair retains the organic curves and refined backrest of the lounge design, paired with a hand-woven seat that adds comfort and craftsmanship. Its proportions are carefully adjusted for longer periods of sitting, making it well suited to dining tables as well as desk settings.
